Inclusion / Exclusion

Force or ignore certain values during automatic detection.

The inclusion and exclusion lists complement automatic detection by allowing you to force or ignore specific values. They are associated with the current session and apply to all documents uploaded during that session.

Inclusion List

The inclusion list forces the processing of a piece of data even if automatic detection did not identify it. It is useful for:

  • Rare or unusual names that the engine has not identified
  • Terminology specific to your business

Simply enter the term you want to include, and the technology will automatically detect and anonymize it throughout the session.

Exclusion List

The exclusion list ignores a piece of data, even if it falls within the scope of a data type configured for detection. It is useful for:

  • Generic names that are not personal data in your context
  • Brands or terms that must remain visible
  • Recurring false positives

Editing from the Editor

The inclusion list can be edited:

  • From the session settings screen
  • Directly from the session's Editor tab using the Selection tool (at the top of your screen)

The exclusion list can be edited:

  • From the session’s Pseudonyms tab
  • Directly from the session’s Editor tab by clicking on an entry or using the Removal tool (at the top of your screen)

Persistence

The inclusion and exclusion lists are automatically saved in each session.

You’ll find them the next time you use the platform, provided you remain in the same session.
